STEPHEN C. HAMILTON, M.D.

Dr. Stephen Hamilton

INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Hamilton received both his undergraduate and medical school degrees from Duke University before completing his Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Iowa. After practicing in Cincinnati, OH and Kilmarnock, VA he moved to Annapolis and joined the practice in 1991. He most values family time with his three children, but also enjoys boating and a wide variety of outdoor sports including snow and water skiing, rowing and cycling. Dr. Hamilton believes that a healthy lifestyle and taking the time to build good mental health are the cornerstones to one’s general well-being, and he tries to emphasize preventative medicine in his approach to patient care


MICHELE R. SMADJA-GORDON, M.D.

Dr. Michele Smadja-Gordon

ENDOCRINOLOGY

Dr Smadja-Gordon received a Baccalaureate of Sciences then studied medicine and presented her doctoral thesis at the University Francois Rabelais in Tours, France, a lovely city in the heart of France where she grew up. She came to the USA with her American husband and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. She pursued her interest in Endocrinology and Metabolism with fellowship training at the Georgetown University Hospital. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism. Dr Smadja-Gordon has been practicing medicine in Annapolis since 1988 and focuses her practice almost exclusively on consultative Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetology. She is active in community education, especially in the field of Diabetes. Dr Smadja-Gordon enjoys her free time with her husband and son and her love of the arts, movies, literature, flowers and of course French pastries!


TITUS C. ABRAHAM, M.D.

Dr. Titus Abraham received his medical degree from the University of Maryland SOM and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, which is focused on the medical care of the adult and geriatric patient. Dr. Abraham joined Annapolis Internal Medicine in 2008 after being a Hospitalist at Anne Arundel Medical Center, where he has been a member of the medical staff since 2002. He has expertise in preventative health care and in the management of the medically complex patient including, but not limited to, those with hypertension, heart disease, chronic lung disease, and diabetes. COURTNEY A. MILNE-KROHN, M.D.

Dr. Courtney Milne-Krohn

INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Milne-Krohn is originally from Highland, Maryland and received a B.S. in microbiology at the University of Maryland at College Park and a Master of Science in Physiology from Georgetown University. She then went on to receive her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2005. She completed her internship and residency at Georgetown University Hospital and served as Primary Care Chief Resident at Georgetown. During her residency training, she received the Internal Medicine department’s Ambulatory Care Award for Excellent Patient Care. She has a particular interest in preventative medicine. She lives with her husband and 3 young sons. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family


MARIAILEEN (MOLLIE) D. SOURWINE, M.D.

Dr. Mollie Sourwine

INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Sourwine, originally from Gaithersburg, MD, is an avid Nittany Lion having earned her undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and masters degree in bioengineering from Penn State University. She worked for several years in biomedical engineering at the National Institutes of Health before going on to earn her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She is interested in incorporating the latest technology into medical practice. She currently lives in Severn with her husband, two young sons and new daughter, and golden retriever, Sequoyah. She enjoys spending time by the water, cooking, gardening and long walks with her dog.


KATHERINE J. ANDERSON, M.D.

Dr. Anderson grew up in Laurel, Maryland. After graduating from Eleanor Roosevelt High School she went on to get her Bachelor of Science at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After college she was happy to return to Maryland to attend medical school at the University of Maryland. She stayed on at The University of Maryland and completed her Internal Medicine residency in 2011. Dr. Anderson enjoys the diversity of practicing general Internal Medicine and also has special interests in infectious diseases and gastrointestinal disorders. In her free time she likes spending time outdoors, especially, bicycling and running.


RITA J. SHKULLAKU (formerly Ganesan), M.D.

Dr. Rita Shkullaku

INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Shkullaku grew up in Rockville, Maryland. She then went on to receive a B.A. in British and American Literature at Pacific Union College in Angwin, California, followed by her medical degree at Loma Linda University. After medical school Dr. Shkullaku decided she was away from home long enough and returned to Maryland. She completed her residency in internal medicine and served as Primary Care Chief Resident at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Shkullaku has a special interest in obesity and nutrition with an emphasis on preventative medicine. She spends her free time cooking, traveling and running.


JENNIFER L. CUHRAN, M.D.

Dr. Jennifer Cuhran

INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Cuhran grew up in New Castle, Pennsylvania about an hour north of Pittsburgh. She is a proud Penn Stater having earned her B.S. at Penn State University in 2006. She went on to receive her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2010. She then stayed at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center to complete her residency in Internal Medicine in 2013. Dr. Cuhran genuinely believes in getting to know each and every patient as a person in order to provide him/her with the best possible medical care, and she strives to partner with each patient to develop his/her own personalized plan for success. She and her husband are happy to make Maryland their new home. Dr. Cuhran enjoys boating, waterskiing, hiking, running, watching Pittsburgh Penguins hockey, and listening to classic rock music.


TIM G. WOODS, M.D.

Dr. Tim Woods

INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Woods is a Pennsylvania native and attended the Medical College of Pennsylvania on a scholarship from the United States Air Force. He completed his training in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital located in Pittsburgh, PA. After residency Dr. Woods entered active duty with the USAF and provided medical support for the 509th Bomb Wing located in Missouri. He finished his tour of active duty in 2000 and in 2001 he came to Maryland to start his career in Internal Medicine. He is the current Chief of Medicine for AAMC and for past 14 years Dr. Woods has cared for the patients of Annapolis as a Hospitalist at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Dr. Woods believes the doctor-patient relationship is an important cornerstone of good health throughout life. Dr. Woods, his wife, their young children, and the family’s Chesapeake Bay retriever currently live in Gambrills, MD.


PATRICIA PLAN-O’NEILL, M.D.

Dr. O’Neill is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and earned her BS in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. After conducting research at the University of Pittsburgh, she attended West Virginia University School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2012 after being named Senior Resident of the Year. Dr. O’Neill worked as a Hospitalist at Anne Arundel Medical Center for 4 years prior to joining AIM. Dr. O’Neill lives in Severna Park with her husband where they spend their free time traveling, entertaining family and friends, and playing music. She is looking forward to providing comprehensive care to her patients.


ANDRE S. COLACO, M.D.

After graduating from medical school in India in 1998 Dr. Colaco immigrated to the United States and was involved with medical research for several years in Arkansas. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine At Unity Hospital which is affiliated with the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York in 2008. He joined Anne Arundel Medical Center as a hospitalist in 2008 and has been a hospitalist there for the last 10 years. Dr. Colaco enjoys taking on the challenges offered by the pathology seen across the breadth of Internal Medicine. He believes in involving his patients in a culture of shared decision making and working with them as a team in order to help them achieve their best health potential. Dr. Colaco lives in the area with his wife and 2 daughters and they enjoy travelling. Dr. Colaco is also a movie buff and a cricket enthusiast.

NURSE PRACTITIONER

​A native of Maryland, Susan received both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (1983) and a Master’s of Science (1998) from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. In May 2010, she received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She started her career at Johns Hopkins Hospital in oncology, transitioned to AAMC working in the float pool, and has worked in oncology, rheumatology, internal medicine, and has just returned to Annapolis Internal Medicine after three years working at Georgetown University Hospital in the Lombardi Cancer Center. During her career she has also been on faculty at The Catholic University of America, and most recently at Georgetown University School of Nursing. She enjoys health promotion as it is an integral part of the Nurse Practitioner role. Susan lives in Davidsonville with her husband and has three grown children
