Dr. Woods is a Pennsylvania native and attended the Medical College of Pennsylvania on a scholarship from the United States Air Force. He completed his training in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital located in Pittsburgh, PA. After residency, Dr. Woods entered active duty with the USAF and provided medical support for the 509th Bomb Wing located in Missouri. He finished his tour of active duty in 2000 and in 2001 he came to Maryland to start his career in Internal Medicine. He is the current Chief of Medicine for AAMC and for the past 14 years, Dr. Woods has cared for the patients of Annapolis as a Hospitalist at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Dr. Woods believes the doctor-patient relationship is an important cornerstone of good health throughout life. Dr. Woods, his wife, their young children, and the family’s Chesapeake Bay retriever currently live in Gambrills, MD.
