Mandy grew up in Anne Arundel County. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2008, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. Mandy is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor’s Society. After graduation, she pursued a career at the University of Maryland Medical Center as a nurse and senior leader in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit for 8 years. Determined to further her career, in 2013, Mandy went back for her Master’s Degree as an Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Prior to her work at Annapolis Internal Medicine, she served as a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner for Hospice of the Chesapeake, with special interest in end-of-life and symptom management. Mandy enjoys traveling, warm weather and spending time with her family & friends.
Mandy joined AIM in November 2016 and has served as our Lead Nurse Practitioner in our Clinic since 2022.
Heidi got her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at York College of Pennsylvania, where she also played on their women’s basketball team. She then moved to Washington, DC and worked with the acutely ill in several of the capitol’s busiest Emergency Departments as an RN. During her time there, she found a passion for caring for victims of sexual assault. She then pursued a certification in forensic nursing and provided medical forensic care for victims of violence in addition to her ER career. Later, Heidi obtained her Master’s in Public Health and Master’s of Science in Nursing at Johns Hopkins University. After spearheading and working as DC’s Intimate Partner Violence Program Coordinator for DC Forensic Nurses, she missed interacting with patients and providing comprehensive health care. Heidi then obtained a Family Nurse Practitioner post-master’s certificate from George Washington University. She enjoys traveling, being physically active and spending time with her family. Heidi joined the team in October 2015.
Kelsey grew up local to the area. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Vermont in 2016 while captaining their field hockey team. She moved back to the area and persued a critical care nursing career in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at University of Maryland Medical Center. She remained there for five years, becoming the lead Infection Preventionist for the unit, as well as a Senior Clinical Nurse. Kelsey completed Duquesne University’s Family Nurse Practiitioner program in August 2021 to obtain her Masters of Science degree. Kelsey currently resides in Severna Park with her husband, son, and standard poodle. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys field hockey, any activity on the water, family time and traveling. Kelsey joined AIM in January 2022
Alexandra “Ali” was born and raised in the Annapolis area. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, School of Nursing in May 2012. She has practiced as a registered nurse on a medical-surgical floor at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, and later, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. She additionally worked as a travel RN, taking assignments in Texas, California, and on the eastern shore of MD. She later completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program, and received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Walden University in November 2018. Prior to joining Annapolis Internal Medicine, Ali practiced as a nurse practitioner on the palliative care team at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Ali has a special interest in educating patients on preventive health and also assisting patients with managing and coping with chronic illnesses. Ali enjoys spending time outdoors and going on adventures with her husband and two sons. Ali joined the AIM Clinic team in May 2022.
Kayla grew up in Queen Anne's County. She went on to attend University of Maryland and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing with high honors. After graduation, she worked in the ICU caring for critically ill patients at University of Maryland Medical Center in Downtown Baltimore. Additionally she worked as a travel ICU nurse throughout many hospitals in Maryland and Washington D.C. She later completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program from Chamberlain University based out of Chicago in 2023. She loves doing anything outdoors, hiking, being on the water, and spending time with family. She is passionate about traveling and has a goal to visit every continent. Some of her favorite trips include backpacking Australia, Thailand, Europe, and New Zealand. She aspires to do a medical mission trip in the near future. Kayla joined the AIM team in December 2023.
Jamie grew up in Newtown, Connecticut. She completed her undergraduate degree at Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with minors in Biology and Psychology. She then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. She moved down to Baltimore, MD for her first nursing job at University of Maryland Medical Center where she worked on the cardiac surgery progressive care unit for 5 years. She went on to work as a local travel nurse before transitioning to work at an outpatient endoscopy center. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Drexel University in September 2023 and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Jamie currently resides on Kent Island with her husband and their dog, Bear. She loves spending time with her family and friends, listening to live music, reading and being outdoors, especially by the water. Jamie joined the AIM team in April 2024.
