Flu Season: Prevention & Recovery

  • 1. Prevention - Vaccinate: Get an annual shot. Hygiene: Wash hands for 20 seconds.
  • 2. Home Test Kits - Available at pharmacies or online. Note: Rapid tests may miss the flu (false negative), especially during high community spread.
  • 3. Symptoms - Flu hits fast with fever,  aches, and fatigue.
  • 4. Treatment & Recovery - Antivirals: (e.g., Tamiflu) Best within 48 hours. Shortens illness by ~1 day.


  • Care - Rest and hydrate. Use ibuprofen; avoid aspirin for kids.
  • 5. Emergency - Seek help for chest pain or breathing issues.
