Atorvastatin RECALL

Important Notice: Atorvastatin Recall

We want to inform you that certain lots of Atorvastatin have been voluntarily recalled due to "Failed Dissolution Specifications". If you are currently taking Atorvastatin, please visit the website:  https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/ires/?Event=97639 to search the affected Lot Numbers.

DO NOT abruptly stop taking the medication, since the risk of harm is low. The recall is due to an absorption issue, not due to an impurity or a carcinogen. Contact the pharmacy where you filled your prescription, to discuss a replacement, if needed.
